Dual Topic Meeting: Circular Economy Innovations in the Energy Industry & Robotics and Automation Applications in the Environmental Space

Call for Speakers

PERF is excited to announce a call for abstracts for our upcoming 110th PERF meeting which will be hosted by Chevron and take place in person on April 1-2, 2025 in Houston, Texas. This meeting will cover two different topic areas: “Circular Economy Innovations in the Energy Industry” and “Robotics and Automation Applications in the Environmental Space”. The goal of the meeting is to share knowledge in these areas, network, and generate beneficial and innovative research project proposals.

Topics of Interest

Day 1: Circular Economy Innovations in the Energy Industry

We invite submissions on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Circular Design and Manufacturing: Strategies for designing and manufacturing energy technologies with circular economy principles.
  • Waste-to-Energy Solutions: Cutting-edge technologies for converting waste materials into energy and reducing environmental impact.
  • Energy Storage and Material Recycling: Advances in energy storage solutions and the recycling of materials used in energy systems.
  • Sustainable Supply Chains: Developing sustainable and circular supply chains within the energy industry.
  • Case Studies and Best Practices: Real-world examples of successful circular economy initiatives in the energy industry.

Day 2: Robotics and Automation with Environmental Applications Relevant to the Energy Industry

We welcome submissions on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Automation in Environmental Monitoring: Automated systems for monitoring environmental impacts and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Waste Management and Recycling: Robotic and automated technologies for efficient waste management and recycling processes in the energy industry.
  • Pollution Control and Remediation: Robotic technologies for pollution control, environmental remediation, and habitat restoration.
  • Emergency Management: Robotics and automation for environmental emergency management
  • Case Studies and Best Practices: Real-world examples of successful implementations of robotics and automation in the environmental space within the energy sector.

If interested in being a speaker, please submit your abstract as a half page summary to the PERF Chair, Bernabe Munoz (bernabemunoz@chevron.com) by February 2, 2025.
